Private and Public Four-Year Colleges/ Universities

AEP’s Partner Four-Year Colleges and Universities offer students a wide variety of popular subjects to study for bachelors and masters degree programs. Many AEP Partner Schools have received national or regional rankings in publications like "U.S. News and World Report" magazine and the "Princeton Review".

Private universities usually have under 10,000 students, offer small student-to-faculty ratios and large scholarship awards for academically-qualified students. Public universities, also known as "state universities", may have over 30,000 students, offer a large number of program choices and have lower tuition fees than private universities.

Most universities have uniform admissions requirements for bachelors degree programs (English requirements, academic qualifications, financial support, etc.), however, admissions requirements for masters degree programs vary according to each individual department.

Starting terms: Fall (September) and Spring (January).
When to apply: Varies by school. Many public university deadlines are 4-8 months before the preferred starting term. Many private universities accept applications until 3 months before the preferred starting term. Applying at least 6-8 months before the preferred starting term is highly recommended in order to qualify for all possible scholarships and reserve campus housing space.
General Admission requirements: Proof of sufficient financial support, satisfactory academic records (varies by school), proof of satisfactory English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, etc. Most schools offer ESL classes and conditional admission, if needed).
Visa type required: F-1 Student Visa
